Lock Haven Football Falls to No. 4 Kutztown, 34–7

Lock Haven, Pa. — After coming off a big win against Bloomsburg, the Bald Eagles faced a tough challenge at home against the No. 4 Kutztown Golden Bears.

Kutztown came out strong, scoring 27 unanswered points in the first half. Despite Lock Haven’s improved performance in the second half, the early deficit was too much to overcome as the Bald Eagles fell 34–7.

Linebacker Rocco Daugherty led the defense with a game-high eight tackles, including seven solo tackles and two tackles for loss.

After the game, Head Coach Joe Battaglia shared his thoughts on the team’s halftime adjustments and execution.

“We didn’t change anything. In the second half, we went through what we saw and just went out there and basically reloaded it in the second half,” Battaglia said. “Defensively, we had a bunch of missed tackles and guys outside their gaps. All of a sudden, we start making tackles and guys are in their gaps. So, halftime adjustments wise, not too much just go out there and do your job
