Spring 2025 Eagle Eye Staff
President: Ryan States VP: Breanna Chicas
We are dedicated to delivering news to the student body and keeping students up to date with information. We are happy to accept any new members possible. We are flexible to a student’s schedule if your looking for a full-time or part-time commitment. Experience is preferred, but absolutely not necessary. The Eagle Eye staff would be more than happy to help train incoming staffers on their new position. The Eagle Eye not only provides real-world experience, but time spent working on our staff is applicable as volunteer work and Media & Journalism majors’ practicum hours! Look below to see ways you can help out your campus newspaper!
Any student is welcome to join us if you’re interested in writing, advertising, or taking photos. No experience is required, and students from any academic background are welcome.
HOW TO START WORKING FOR THE EAGLE EYE: Students may show up for meetings or sign up to be on the email list. Meetings are Thursday at 5 p.m. in PUB room 113, which is down the hall from the Game Room. Deadlines are an important part of the learning experience at the Eagle Eye. The student has from the night of the meeting until our 5 p.m. deadline the following Thursday to upload their story to our WordPress. Deadlines are always subject to change, and so are our meeting times and locations. Contact the Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor directly in case meeting times/locations have been changed.
LETTER(S) TO THE EDITOR: If you have an opinion you would like to be published in our opinion section, please use this form. You must provide your first and last name for articles to be published in the Eagle Eye. We will not publish letters under pseudonyms or anonymously.
OPPORTUNITIES: Every staff member at the Eagle Eye has the opportunity to advance and be on the editorial staff/advertising team. Writing alone looks good for a portfolio, and being a part of the editorial team is a great experience too. Being a part of this team has led many students to acquire positions at media outlets throughout the nation. Not to mention, Eagle Eye staff members become lifelong friends and maintain their connections. In the past we have had a close partnership with the Lock Haven Express, where the print editions of our newspaper were jointly produced with the Williamsport Sun-Gazette. Many of our staff members have interned at The Express.
Every year we have editors that graduate or leave, leaving us with positions that need to be filled. If you’d like any information about an editorial position, please don’t hesitate to email us.
