The Eagle Eye, the official student newspaper of Commonwealth University – Lock Haven, is published weekly in accordance with the University calendar. The articles, opinions, pictures and layout of the Eagle Eye are the responsibility of the staff, who are current students, and do not reflect the views of the students, the faculty or administration, unless otherwise specified. The Eagle Eye is funded by the Student Activity Fee. As of 2022, The Eagle Eye is no longer printing issues and is publishing all of our stories online. We will still be publishing an online paper in the traditional newspaper format on Issuu each week, but all stories will be available on our website, including stories that didn’t make it into the weekly Issuu. The Eagle Eye staff hope you continue to read and support the organization.

Our History

The student newspaper was first published in 1922 as The Normal Times. From 1928 to 1947, the name was changed to The College Times. In 1975, the student newspaper was renamed to its current name, The Eagle Eye.
