LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men’s soccer team (3-4-2, 1-1-2 PSAC East) notched a convincing win over Shippensburg (2-3-1, 0-3-1 PSAC East), 3-0, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division play.

Lock Haven set the tone early in the game as Connor Swope (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) scored the first goal just 37 seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead. The Bald Eagles extended their lead in the 29th minute of the first half when Duc Do (New Oxford, Pa./New Oxford) crossed the ball to Jimmy Pombor (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) who assisted Dean Lewis (Belfast, Northern Ireland/Model Boys School) on a beautifully curled goal from outside the box.

The second half was quiet for both teams as the Bald Eagles controlled the match. In the 69th minute, the score board was lit up again as forward Austin Kravetz (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) got onto a through ball from Lewis and tucked it past the keeper.

Aitor Ruiz de Eguilaz (Euskadi, Spain/Koldo Mitxelena (Robert Morris)) made five saves as he kept a second-straight clean sheet.

In front of goal, Connor Burke (Schnecksville, Pa/ Parkland), Ryan Foskey (Gilbertsville, Pa/Boytertown), Zane Puhala and Do all played 90 minutes and stifled the Raiders attack.
