What’s the best part of the fall season, you may ask? The sweet treats! With the beginning of autumn comes the return of many highly anticipated fall recipes, only available for several months of the year. To (pumpkin) spice up the dinner table during sweater season, listed below are three fall recipes that are sure to make any dinner table lively.


Caramel Apple Pie: The classic apple pie, but
with a twist! This pie, filled with rich apples, is
baked until golden and soft before being topped
with salted caramel sauce. It not only fits in with
the classic fall recipes but is sweet and delicious
to boot, and is sure to top off any meal shared in
front of a fireplace.
Ingredients:

  • homemade pie crust
  • homemade salted caramel
  • 4-5 large apples, cored, peeled and thinly
    sliced
  • 1⁄2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • egg wash

Pumpkin Roll: A sweet, spongy dessert that
is certain to bring any family together during a
chilly evening. These are roll cakes topped with
confectioners’ sugar and filled with delicious
cream cheese.
Ingredients:

  • two 3-ounce packages cream cheese
  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar

Pumpkin Spice Latte: Of course, it would be
sinful to forget the original fall classic. This
pumpkin spice latte is like any you could get at
your local Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks, only
homemade! They’re easy to make and can be
finished in ten minutes using only a few simple
ingredients.
Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons sugar (however much
    you prefer!)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus
    more for serving – 1/2 cup strong hot coffee
  • whipped cream, to top it off
