Two Maidens Tea Room and Café located at 108 E. Main St. in Lock Haven had their soft opening over Labor Day weekend. Co-owners Ali Arico and Aly Di Costanzo combined their passions to form what they hope will be a safe space for everyone.

Despite the store’s small size, it is filled to the brim with all sorts of items. Di Costanzo’s aesthetic, according to Arico, is witch-themed from her wardrobe to her practicing tarot. Therefore, her passion was more geared towards the spiritual practice side of the store.

Arico is has more of a self-empowerment and spiritual practice under the motto of “whatever is going to get you through your day.” Arico was very supportive of her co-owner’s vision of the store, but her co-owner strongly wanted both of their visions to come together.

The store has items for all your witchy needs including crystals, spell jars, pendulums, incense, spell kits, herbs, candles, and more. They also sell spiritual themed decor like small tapestries, crystal hangings, wall decor, and spiritual themed knickknacks to make your room your own divine aesthetic. They carry all sorts of jewelry, crystal bracelets, dangling earrings, tiaras made out of crystals, rings, necklaces with different types of charms and chains, ear cuffs. Two Maidens also offers non-spiritual items such as stickers, Croc Jibbitz, a light play on psychedelics, and overall hippie decor.

They have fruit based teas like their eureka or ambrosia teas. If shoppers are more interested in general wellness, they have in-house blends featuring three teas: beauty and wellness, help with sleep, or anti-anxiety blends.

“We did a lot of research on what herbs are good for what things and then we started mixing them together until we found something that tasted good,” Arico said.

They offer samples of their teas to try while in-store. The teas that are on tap are interchanging so there is always something new to try. They also carry baked goods such as brownies, rice crispy treats, and cake pops.

Arico and Di Costanzo stressed how they really wanted this store to be a safe space for everyone. They pride themselves on being welcoming and inclusive to all who come into their store. They are extremely supportive of their college student customers. Anyone in the community is welcome to stop by whether they’re on the hunt for fun decorations, calming tear, or to just stop in and chat.
