Around the NFL:
The Dallas Cowboys have to play without a key starter on their offense. Dak Prescott was injured during the third quarter of their game vs the Giants on October 11 with a gruesome leg injury. Dak underwent surgery later that night to wash out the wound that came with the compound fracture and dislocated right ankle that he suffered during the game. Medical officials have said that this injury is season-ending and the team will need to play with their backup quarterback in place of Prescott. The recovery time frame for this type of injury is 4-6 months before he is able to play. Prescott is the team’s quarterback. His stats up until his injury include 9 touchdowns, 4 interceptions and 1,896 yards. The backup quarterback is Cooper Rush. Dak is currently in Dallas recovering.
