Lock Haven is home to many local eateries and I, Dan Stoner, am on a mission to showcase and review them all, one plate at a time. Today, we’re going to be showcasing a select meal from Odd Fellas, which consists of their Wild Burger, fries, and strawberry milkshake.
Wild Burger: 8.7/10. This may be a personal favorite of mine at Odd Fellas. The combination of bacon, jalapeño, and BBQ sauce is great for this kind of craft burger. The burger itself was also just really good. Despite my advocacy for medium well, they still were able to keep my burger moist and flavorful while being borderline well done. The bun is also good. It has just the right amount while also not being dry and stiff.
Fries: 7/10. I am not too often a fan of other types of fries that aren’t fresh cut, but these were still good. It comes down to personal preference in this instance. It had the right amount of seasoning, and the dipping sauce is definitely a good addition. It’s also very good for when you get down to the last few bites of your burger and want to change it up a bit.
Strawberry Milkshake: 8.4/10. The major criticism I have is that it may just be TOO sweet for my taste. The consistency is great while also having practically no wait time on the defrosting. While it is too sweet for me, the flavor was still great. Strawberry is my favorite flavor of milkshake, and this definitely delivers on that flavor. Not to mention that the fries and shake combination is great.
Customer service was also great. I could tell they were patient with me as sometimes I am very socially awkward when ordering food.
In conclusion, Odd Fellas is very much worth coming back for. Go out and enjoy some tasty grub while supporting local businesses.
