LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s tennis team (1-0) started their season off on a high note on Friday after soaring past Lycoming College (0-2) in a 7-2 victory. The Bald Eagles won all of their doubles matches and four of their singles matches.

In the doubles matches, the most dominating performance of the day belonged to Claire Long and Alaina Marchioni winning relatively easy with a score of 8-1.

In the singles matches, Mia Shuler and Natalie Brown had astounding performances versus the Warriors. Shuler bested her opponent with a score of 6-3 in the first set and 6-1 in the second. Brown did not let her opponent get on the scoreboard by winning both sets 6-0. The Bald Eagles did not only show out on their season debut, but the stage was also set as they won their first match on the brand new LHU tennis courts.
