LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – In a close game against Shippensburg (1-3) the Lock Haven women’s soccer team (0-4) lost 2-1.

In the middle of the first half, the first goal was scored. In the possession of Shippensburg, Skylar Lambert passed the ball to Kaitlyn DiCandilo who made a score to the goal.

During the second half, both teams scored another goal. First was Lock Haven’s Julia Haines who passed the ball to Evelyn Ciaccia who scored on Shippensburg. Then, around 10 minutes later, Ryleigh Cook assisted Olivia Stephen in a goal against Lock Haven. The final score was 2-1.

Lock Haven put up a great fight against Shippensburg and was only one goal away from a tie.

Player Highlights:

Ciaccia took four shots, two on goal. Haines assisted Ciaccia in a goal against Shippensburg and took a shot herself. Eva Stoessel attempted three shots. One of them was a shot on goal. However, it was unsuccessful. Trinity Seaman also attempted two shots against the opposing team but none were on goal.

Lock Haven will travel to Bloomsburg on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Start time is at 6 p.m.
