LOCK HAVEN PA.- The Bald Eagles won their second straight in a dominant win over Kutztown (3-19) Wednesday Feb. 7. The Golden Bears kept the game close going into the half, but couldn’t keep up in the second, as Lock Haven (15-6) went on to win 80-64. Lock Haven has won 11 of their last 12 games and sits third in the standings in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East division.

As always it was Justice Shoats leading the way for the Bald Eagles, scoring 24 points and soaring high for an impressive block in the first. Isaiah Stewart also had himself a night, scoring 20 points and was the anchor for the defense.

Defense won the day in Thomas Fieldhouse, as Lock Haven held the Golden bears to 38 percent from the field and blocked 12 shots. Meanwhile the Bald Eagles shot over 50 percent from the field, and only had one shot get rejected.

Notably with the win Lock Haven moves to 8-1 at Thomas Fieldhouse and has not lost a home game in over a month. That streak will be put to the test as the men have their toughest game yet, a Valentine’s Day date with the PSAC East No. 1 seeded East Stroudsburg.

Last time these two teams faced off, The Haven pulled off the upset against the Warriors. Lock Haven will look to defend their home court on Wednesday Feb. 14 at Thomas Fieldhouse. Meanwhile, the Warriors will look for a rode upset of their own and keep their place atop the East.
