LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Bald Eagles lost both games versus the Warriors on Sunday March 8. Game One finished 13-0 while game two ended 8-2. With the loss, Lock Haven drops to 3-9 and find themselves in the middle of a seven-game losing streak.

In Game One, The Haven looked abysmal at the plate, and even worse on the mound. Stephan McMillan was the only Bald Eagle to register a hit in the game. On the mound it was Kevin Worek who put on a less than ideal performance. Worek threw 60 pitches, surrendered nine runs (all earned) and seven hits in just 1.2 innings. Meanwhile, Warriors pitcher Brent Fransisco threw five clean innings, striking out six batters and only surrendering one hit.

Game Two started out much better for the Bald Eagles, scoring the first run of the game on a fielder’s choice hit by Zach McEllroy. Matt Lingenfelter started off the game hot, holding the Warriors scoreless through four innings. McEllroy’s good start quicky turned into a nightmare, as The Haven surrendered six runs in the first 5 innings before McEllroy was pulled. Bald Eagle’s shortstop Fransisco Taveras drove in a run in the final inning, but Lock Haven would get no late inning rally.
