This year, Thanksgiving is Nov. 26, which means there’s only three weeks to plan your outfit for the holiday. If you are not sure what to wear to a Thanksgiving party and general fashion tips for the fall, this article is perfect for you! The items listed will range from articles of clothing to accessories, etc.

  • Turtleneck. Not only are turtlenecks fashion forward, but they also give others the impression you are a well put together person. The month of November is very cold which gives people the excuse to bundle up and wear more layers. Adding a turtleneck under your sweater will not only keep you warm but will also please the fashion police.
  • Beanie. Beanies come in handy for windy days and honestly when people are too lazy to do anything with their hair. They also can accent your outfit by bringing color to your neutral-colored outfit. Matching your beanie to your outfit is not an uncommon thing to do.
  • Jean Jacket. Jean jackets can add a vintage look to your outfit and are wonderful for layering during the colder seasons. You can style a jean jacket with any other article of clothing which makes them essential for everyone’s wardrobe. I recommend wearing a sweater with an oversized jean jacket to not only stay warm but fashionable.
  • Flannel. Flannels are a necessity for everyone’s wardrobe especially in the fall where it’s moderately cold. They come in all different colors and patterns which makes styling them easy. Be prepared for someone to call you a lumberjack or ask if you listen to grunge music.
  • Boots. Just like flannels, there are different styles of boots which helps planning outfits easier. Long boots look wonderful over the top of jeans and emphasizes your legs. With that concept in mind, wearing brown boots will blend nicely with light blue jeans.
