“Survivor” is one of the most physically demanding shows on television. A group of strangers are placed on an island where they must fend for themselves. The contestants compete in challenges for rewards and immunity from being eliminated. In the end, only one player will remain and claim the grand prize of $1,000,000.

“Survivor” season 46 premiered on Feb. 28, 2024, as 18 castaways began the adventure of a lifetime. The contestants were divided into three tribes of six:

  • Nami (Hunter, Liz, Randen, Soda, Tevin, Venus)
  • Siga (Ben, Charlie, Jem, Maria, Moriah, Tim)
  • Yanu (Bhanu, Jelinsky, Jess, Kenzie, Q, Tiffany)

Out of the gate, Yanu looked like one of the worst tribes in “Survivor” history. They lost the first two immunity challenges and voted out Jelinsky and Jess at the first two Tribal Councils.

In Episode 3, the Yanu tribe lost yet another challenge. Bhanu was on the outs as Kenzie, Tiffany, and Q had formed a three-person alliance. Moments before the Tribal Council, Randen of Nami, was medically evacuated from the game after feeling numbness on one side of his body and unable to move his hand. As a result, Yanu did not have to vote someone off.

Episode 4 saw Yanu come up short again in the immunity challenge resulting in Bhanu being sent home. In the next immunity challenge, Yanu ended their losing streak. Nami was the other tribe to win forcing Siga to vote someone off.

At Siga, Jem and Moriah were targeting Ben while Ben and Tim were planning against Jem. They were unaware that Jem found an immunity idol that could be used to keep herself safe at Tribal.

Charlie and Maria found themselves in the middle. Charlie was in favor of siding with the men, while Maria wanted to join the women in voting off Ben. At Tribal elimination, they joined the men to blindside Jem from being able to use their immunity.

On day 12, the tribes merged as the individual phase of the game began. At the immunity challenge, the contestants were divided into two teams of six. Ben, Hunter, Kenzie, Q, Tevin, and Tim all won immunity by their team victory. Tiffany was also safe after wagering her safety by her correct prediction of team to win.

Back at camp, the Yanu three found themselves in a predicament with Siga and Nami wanting to vote off someone in the opposite group. In the end, Yanu sided with Nami and convinced Siga to vote out one of their own, Moriah.

A split Tribal Council was held on day 14. The contestants were divided into two groups of six. Each group would go to Tribal separately. One team included Charlie, Liz, Maria, Soda, Tevin, and Venus, while the other consisted of Ben, Hunter, Kenzie, Q, Tiffany, and Tim.

Kenzie and Maria won immunity in their respective groups. Since Maria lasted the longest, her group went to Tribal last. Hunter was the odd man out being targeted by Ben and Tim. Yanu found themselves in the middle once again, but with Q barking orders at them, Kenzie and Tiffany considered taking a shot at voting out Q. At Tribal Council, Yanu and Hunter voted together to eliminate Tim.

In the other group, there were four Nami members and only two Siga. With Maria immune, Charlie was the obvious target, but Tevin wanted to make a game-breaking move and blindside Soda. Everyone went with Tevin’s plan and voted out Soda, making her the first member of the jury.

The Yanu three seem to have all the power being in the middle, but will Q’s bossiness and instability cost him? Find out Wednesday, April 17 as a new episode premieres on Paramount at 8 p.m. EST.
